Here’s an online conference about ebooks, audio books and digital libraries. The schedule is here, and the talks run all day (with long breaks). It will take place on Thursday, July 28, 2005 and registration is free .
David Rothman and Jon Noring from OpenReader are going to give talks, so it should be interesting and entertaining. I don’t know what distance learning method they’re using (I assume it will be a cheaper cousin of Webex), but I have to ask, what’s wrong with having a conference call and then charging people the $5 to phone in? Phones almost always work, whereas often getting Internet telephony seems to require a bit of configuration and customization (I think I disconnected my microphone a while back).
