I was planning to buy a midpriced laptop at the end of January. I wonder if this processor family will be in my price range and time frame. Buying a laptop means committing to a manufacturer (and upgrading only through that manufacturer).
In other news (I read somewhere–sorry no link. Business Week, December 2005 maybe?), Dell has not been doing well recently. They chose to focus on higher end multimedia PC’s and pretty much let HP capture the lowend market. HP has been offering lots of value with their AMD processors.
