Pardon me for getting regional, but here’s an extremely well written piece by David Crossley about why mass transits would do great things for Houston. David Crossley has written several articles about urban renewal in Houston. I live in the Westchase suburb in Houston, which is close to a library, movie theatre, churches, hotels and several restaurants. Still, it is rather awful with the noise pollution of the cars along Westheimer. Also, there is really no arts community west of Beltway 8 (that is partly why I’m organizing the FrayDay Houston event in West Houston, where there is nothing but cars, supermarkets, parking lots and fast food.
