Longish review of Voice over IP phone solutions. Amazingly, there is not much discussion of PDA’s in this article. Review of
YOPY, and Kemplar, a place that sells Zaurus 760 for $700.
I’ve really been enjoying PDABuzz and BargainPDA.

The lowdown about USB 2.0. I have been looking for this information for a long time. Still unanswered: can you have a 1.1 or 2.0 USB via a PCI interface? Do you need motherboard/bios support?
I’m in the market for a PDA in the next 6 months. For the time being, I’m just collecting information. PDABuzz.com has a lively discussion, and also the Zaurus Forum. I fell in love with a Zaurus 760, although it is veryexpensive and not even for sale in the U.S. Interestingly, last November IBM announced plans to roll out plans to roll out its own version of Zaurus for the corporate market in fall of 2003. Two companies now import Japanese Zauruses from Japan, charging an arm and a leg in the process. Basically what I’m looking for is GPS, a good audio recording application, Linux-based (hopefully), access to games, an organizer that doesn’t suck (apparently Zaurus sucks in that regard,) good battery life and lots of applications being written for it. I don’t particularly want a mobile phone capability, though it would be nice.
